I’m having trouble to get my 98 Savage running after 6 months of winter storage.
At first, it startup but stalls after 2 seconds, then it got better (stay running longer each start).
Eventually, it ran without stalling but only if the choke remains on. As soon as I close the choke completely (after it warm up), it stalls.
After searching the newsgroup and this board, seem like the obvious reason of the problem is fuel salvation (sp?) caused by clogged carb jets etc.
My question is: Will a faulty petcock also cause this problem? The reason I ask is consider the bike is still fairly new and I noticed some member in this board has complaint about the petcock problem.
BTW, I did put fresh gas in the tank and added some carb cleaner but didn’t help.
